Congratulations to the Lincoln Artists’ Guild for a spectacular Spring Show. There were 36 entries that offered a varied and wonderful mix of work. Everyone agreed, that Anne Pagel our judge had a difficult time selecting the best. She was very complimentary of how far our work has gone, from when she had judged in the past. The quality of the work, along with the framing and presentation was much better. Congratulations go out to Reida Wrenholt for her Best of Show piece, a polyform sculpture entitled “Keep Growing”. Reida also earned an honorable mention for her terra cotta clay “Spotted Pony”. Merit Awards went to Keri Kriston for “Young Joe”, Danielle Dewees for “Forever Home” and Pam Apley for “Winging It”. Honorable mentions went to Donna Pozehl for “A Complex Bouquet” and Jude Martingdale for “Tree of Life”. Peoples Choice Award was earned by Pam Apley for her fabric piece entitled “Stepping into Paradise”. A big thank you to the LUX for allowing us to show in their upstairs gallery and for all they help the young ladies did in moving pedestals, and checking if we needed anything during the two days we were setting up and during the reception.
Pickup of all art work is Friday March 29 from 11 – 1. Remember if you do not make arrangements to pick up your work, it will be stored and you will need to pay $5 to get it back, and after 30 days, the work becomes the property of the Guild.
