Unitarian Church Arts and Crafts Sale
The Unitarian Church is hosting an Art and Craft Show on November 9th, and Jan Garvin was originally signed up to participate. She is not going to be able to fulfill that commitment and will gladly pass on her spot to a LAG member that may be interested in showing in her place. Please contact Jan soon to discuss options. Fall Show
Congratulations to the LAG for again having a wonderful show. This year it was held at Gallery 9 in downtown Lincoln and by any estimates of the First Friday event, there were a lot of people attending that evening. A sale was made that weekend, so kudo’s to Keri Kriston for her sale.
Best of Show award went to Susan Harris for her portrait of a child with dinosaur entitled
“RAHHH”
Merit Awards went to Pam Apley with “Show Me the Way” and Dennis Schmidt with “Portrait of Andrew”
Honorable Mentions went to Will Rennick’s “Rocky Beach” and Stacy Romick Imig’s “Mulberry Place”
Our judge this year was Judith Andre, owner of the building which Gallery 9 is located and a fine artist herself. Many thanks to Judith.
The show was very well received by the Gallery 9 members who complimented the LAG for the quality of work shown. Thank you to Gallery 9 for letting us show during the month of October. Be sure to stop by and see the show, vote for the People’s Choice Award and enjoy also the work of the Gallery 9 members. Gallery 9 is open W-S 11-5 and Sunday 12 – 5
Pick up day for the show will be Sunday October 27th. The gallery will be open that day, so stop in when it is convenient. Pictures will be taken down at noon and walls prepped soon after.
